PW Partners disclosed that on February 28, it delivered a letter to BJ's Restaurants nominating Jason Bernzweig, Mark McEachen, Jeffrey Neal, Emanuel Pearlman and Patrick Walsh for election to the board of the company at the 2014 annual meeting of stockholders. PW Partners and Luxor Management collectively own an aggregate of 3.5M Shares, including 102K shares underlying call options, constituting approximately 12.4% of BJ's Restaurants.

The company plans to open at least 15 new restaurants in fiscal 2015 and has, to date, opened new restaurants in Nanuet, New York and Slidell, Louisiana, in Q1. With the exception of the Nanuet location, all of the restaurants opened in Q4 and Q1 are the company's new 7,400 square foot prototype. This new prototype has been well received by guests and costs approximately $4M on a gross basis, which is approximately $1M less than the prior prototype.
