| 06:14 EDT |  | BHP | BHP Billiton reports production for the quarter ended September 30 Petroleum production averaged a record 666,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day during the September quarter as the Atlantis and Mad Dog facilities in the Gulf of Mexico successfully recommenced production. Liquids production increased by 17% from the June. Onshore US liquids production increased to a record 3.9 million barrels of oil equivalent. Petroleum production guidance for the 2013 financial year remains unchanged at 240 MMboe and includes an expected 15% increase in valuable liquids production. A 24% increase in copper production from the September 2011 quarter reflected the mining of higher grade ore at Escondida and the impact of industrial action in the corresponding period. |
