Ford's (F) Sync 3 in-car entertainment and mapping system will use a version of BlackBerry's (BBRY) QNX operating system, replacing Microsoft (MSFT) technology that had been used in the prior two versions, Re/code reports. The QNX-powered system adds more features, including a capacitive touch screen and the ability to get software updates over Wi-Fi. BlackBerry (BBRY) Executive Chairman and CEO John Chen, in a post to his LinkedIn account entitled "Don't Believe The Hype," stated that he has recently Iíve been advised to capitalize on Kim Kardashianís pronouncements that BlackBerry phones are her ďheart and soul,Ē or talk up plans to enter the China market, "however preliminary they are today." Chen said BlackBerry's focus right now is on extending its security foundation with new solutions for the enterprise and that it "cannot and will not" chase sensationalism. "As for China, rest assured that we are developing a well-thought out plan that will take into account many factors, including timing and our long-term strategy. It wonít be rushed because itís exciting or turned away from because of security concerns. And it wonít include a takeover," Chen wrote in his post. Reference Link

Amazon.com has announced the "Make an Offer" experience that allows customers to negotiate even lower prices on thousands of items. Expanding on Amazonís traditional fixed price model, the new pricing feature allows customers to offer to buy items at even lower prices. If agreed upon, customers can then purchase the items at a savings from the listed price. To start, more than 150,000 items from sellers on Amazon are enabled with the "Make an Offer" experience across Sports and Entertainment Collectibles, Collectible Coins and Fine Art. The new feature will expand to hundreds of thousands of items from sellers in 2015. The "Make an Offer" feature is not an auction format. All negotiations are 1:1 and private between individual customers and sellers. A seller is able to accept a customerís offer at any time. The intention is to lower prices, and a customer negotiating with a seller will never pay more than the listed price.
