| 08:39 EDT |  | BA | FAA: Boeing will have to conduct extensive Dreamliner testing, Bloomberg reports Boeing's (BA)’s proposal to get the 787 Dreamliner flying again will require extensive testing even if approved before regulators end the plane’s grounding, the FAA's Administrator Michael Huerta said. Huerta, in the most detailed comments to date on Boeing’s presentation February 22, said it “looks to be a very comprehensive proposal” featuring multiple alterations designed to address every possible cause of battery incidents that grounded the jet. | 08:13 EDT |  | BA | Airbus takes firm orders worth $39B at Paris Airshow, Reuters reports Airbus (EADSY) clinched deals for an additional 90 planes today , raising its total orders and commitments at the Paris Airshow to 466 aircraft worth $68.7B at list prices, reports Reuters. That includes firm purchase orders for 241 planes worth $39.3B. Boeing (BA) announced 265 firm orders worth $24.7B and 127 commitments worth $36.6B so far at the show. Reference Link |

As of last night, Airbus had 211 firm orders versus 265 for Boeing. Airbus had commitments for a further 165 jets, compared with 127 for Boeing. Reference Link |

Boeing looks forward to working with ALC to finalize the details of the agreement, at which time the airplanes will be posted to the Boeing Orders & Deliveries website as a firm order.
