British Airways said that it is temporally halting flights to Sierra Leone and Liberia due until the end of August to an increasing death toll from an Ebola outbreak in the vicinity, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing a statement from the airline carrier. British Airways (BAIRY) parent IAG (ICAGY) is "the strongest of the major European airlines" and its London-based shares could gain 30% in the next 12 months, Barron's contends in a feature article. Note that IAG's American depositary receipts recently traded at $42.74. Barron's adds that Lufthansa (DLAKY) and Air France-KLM (AFLYY) are "struggling to implement restructuring plans," leaving IAG free to tighten its grip on the European market as its fuel hedges unwind.
