BTIG expects Bank of America (BTIG) to settle its litigation with MBIA (MBI) given risks that court rulings will emerge that would require Bank of America to increase its mortgage pubacks reserve from $15.9B to something as much as $80B or more. The firm notes this would impact CEO Brian Moynihan's credibility since he promised to put the Countrywide issues behind the company. Shares of MBIA are Buy rated. |
