Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A) has agreed to modify the terms of an investment in Bank of America (BAC) so that the equity now counts as tier one capital, which boosts the bank’s regulatory capital levels, reported Financial Times. The changes fix Berkshire's dividend at 6% and allow BofA to cancel it if it runs into trouble, but, in Berkshire's favor, the bank cannot redeem the stock for five years, the report noted. Dako, an Agilent Technologies (A) company, announced a new Master Collaboration Agreement with Amgen (AMGN). The expanded collaboration will allow both companies to benefit from knowledge-sharing within the field of drug-diagnostic research and development in general, and in relation to companion diagnostic products in particular. The financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.
