Boeing (BA) will look to sell its new aerial refueling tanker to South Korea, the Wall Street Journal reports. South Korea recently said it will invite bids for four tankers in a contract valued at about $1.3B that is expected to fuel offers from Boeing and rival Airbus (EADSY). Reference Link

AerCap (AER) announced that it has exercised options to purchase 50 A320neo family aircraft from Airbus (EADSY). This transaction will bring AerCap's firm orders for A320neo family aircraft to a total of 200. Deliveries are expected to commence in 2015.

Airbus (EADSY) announced the A330-800neo and A330-900neo launched in July will reduce fuel consumption by a further 14% per seat compared with today’s A330. The company said that the A330neo will not only match the cash operating costs per seat of Boeing's (BA) 787, but also surpass it on direct operating costs per seat, and do so while offering an inch greater seat-width in economy class. The A330neo incorporates latest generation Rolls-Royce (RYCEY) Trent 7000 engines with a larger 112” diameter fan for a 10:1 bypass ratio, more seats and new cabin features. American Airlines (AAL) has selected CFM International’s advanced LEAP-1A engine to power its new fleet of 100 Airbus (EADSY) A320neo family aircraft. CFM values the engine order at $2.6B U.S. at list price. The aircraft order was originally announced in July 2011 and American will begin taking delivery in 2017. American also has orders for LEAP-1B engines to power 100 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, which are also scheduled to be delivered beginning in 2017. American has been a CFM customer since 1996 and the airline’s fleet includes 375 Airbus A320 Family and Boeing 737 aircraft powered by CFM56 engines. CFM International is a 50/50 joint company between Safran and General Electric (GE).

Boeing (BA) and Sikorsky Aircraft, a subsidiary of United Technologies (UTX) have been selected to help develop the Joint Common Architecture, JCA, standard for the U.S. Army’s Joint Multi-Role, JMR, Science and Technology program, an element of the Future Vertical Lift, FVL, initiative. The Technology Investment Agreement was awarded by the U.S. Army Aviation Applied Technology Directorate on June 30.
