| Allegheny Energy announced that the Virginia State Corporation Commission has approved, without modification, an agreement between the company and the commission staff regarding the recovery of purchased power costs for the 12-month period ending June 30, 2010. Provisions of the agreement took effect on November 1. At that time, the bill for a typical residential customer in Virginia using 1,000 kilowatt-hours decreased from approximately $96 to $94 a month. Under the terms of the settlement, the company agreed to reduce the requested increase by $3.2M primarily to reflect an over-recovery of purchased power costs for the 12-month period ending June 30. :theflyonthewall.com |
