Alexco Resource reports silver production of 595,823 ounces during Q4, approximately 16% higher than the previous quarter and its second highest ever quarter of production as the Bellekeno mine completes its second full year of operation in the Keno Hill Silver District in Canada's Yukon Territory. For FY12, Alexco produced 2,15M ounces of silver, generally in line with full year production guidance of 2.2M ounces. Mill throughput also increased to a record 291 tonnes per day average for Q4, a 9% improvement over the previous quarter which was itself a throughput record. | |

Alexco Resource reports it has received the completed and signed Water Use Licence amendment from the Yukon Water Board allowing Alexco to process mill feed from its Onek and Lucky Queen mines in the Keno Hill Silver District in Yukon, Canada. Production from these mines would be supplemental to the company's already-operating Bellekeno mine and is not included in Alexco's production guidance for 2013 of between 1.9M-2.1M ounces of silver. | |
