Astrotech Corporation announced that its Astrotech Space Operations subsidiary has been awarded a NASA Not-to-Exceed $9.1M Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity, or IDIQ, contract for commercial payload processing services at ASO Florida. Under the new contract, NASA may task ASO to provide payload processing facilities and services for NASA missions launching from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The contract ordering period runs through December, 2017.

Reports Q1 revenue $320K vs. $0 last year. Q1 net income of $23.3M, or $1.16 per diluted share, was primarily the result of a $25.6M gain, or $23.7M after-tax, related to the sale of our former ASO business to Lockheed Martin.
