Entropic announced a strategic collaboration with Peking University to create the industry's first HINOC, or High Performance Network Over Coax, 2.0 solution to serve China's expanding broadband access market which requires higher-speed broadband to support advanced triple-play and multiscreen services. China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, or SARFT, is actively promoting Ethernet-over-Coax, or EoC, solutions to enable bi-directional communication on all cable television networks throughout China. HINOC 2.0 is the SARFT approved standard for broadband access technology using the high-RF spectrum of the coax. HINOC 2.0 based services will operate in the range of 750 MHz to 1006 MHz and deliver speeds up to 1 Gbit per second at the headend and support 100 Mbits per second to each subscriber's home.

Rentrak (RENT) announced the official domestic weekend box office estimates for the weekend of March 15, as compiled by the company's theatrical measurement services. Disney's (DIS) "Cinderella" took the top spot at the domestic weekend box office with $70.1M: Warner Bros' (TWX) "Run All Night" took the second spot at the box office with $11M; 20th Century Fox's (FOX, FOXA) "Kingsman: The Secret Service" took third with $6.2M; Warner Bros' "Focus" took the fourth spot at the box office with $5.8M and Sony's (SNE) "Chappie" took fifth place with $5.8M.
