07:55 EDTARIAPatients, doctors press FDA to maintain Iclusig access, Boston Globe says
Patient advocates began pressing the FDA to allow for access to Ariad's leukemia drug Iclusig to be maintained within hours after sales of a drug were stopped last month, reported The Boston Globe over the weekend. The report also noted a number of blood cancer specialists called on the FDA and got a new program enacted to allow patients who had been buying Iclusig commercially to get approval to keep receiving it. Shares of Ariad are up about 7% in pre-market trading after rising over 35% yesterday. Reference Link
