Apollo Global said its transaction pipeline "appears to be steadily building," though in the current environment where valuations remain "relatively high" the company will continue to be disciplined and patient in deploying its funds. The company said it still expects its long-term deployment average to be in the range of $3B$4 billion per year in private equity. The firm said it takes a "long-term view" towards capital deployment, measuring it in multiple years rather than quarters, and it remains confident that it can identify "ample opportunities" to make its funds an attractive investments. General Electric (GE), which has announced plans to divest the majority of its GE Capital businesses, is in talks about the potential sale of its $74B U.S. commercial-lending unit, reported Bloomberg, echoing a similar report from The Wall Street Journal.
