Private equity's top executives took home over $2.6B last year as booming markets allowed their firms to cash out of investments and record blockbuster gains, reports the Wall Street Journal. Leon Black, co-founder and CEO of Apollo Global Management (APO), received the biggest individual amount, about $546.3M, according to a public filing. Stephen Schwarzman of Blackstone Group (BX) was next, followed by KKR (KKR) and Carlyle Group (CG).Reference Link

Blackstone (BX) announced that private equity funds it manages have agreed to sell GCA Services Group to a consortium of the Merchant Banking Division of Goldman Sachs (GS) and Thomas H. Lee Partners. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to close in the first quarter of 2016.
