A.O. Smith disclosed in a regulatory filing that on March 11, the company entered into a settlement agreement with a former supplier of a North American subsidiary regarding previous overcharges and warranty costs. The terms of the settlement agreement resulted in an $11M cash payment to the company, a pre-tax gain of $11M and a related $4.2M tax expense. | |
