Even though major U.S. companies are essentially unattainable to Chinese buyers, deals are getting done on smaller companies like Wanxiang Group's recent purchase of A123 Systems (AONEQ) and China's BGI-Shenzhen purchase of Complete Genomics (GNOM), says the Wall Street Journal. adding that the largest China-U.S. deal announced in 2012, the sale of 80.1% of AIG's (AIG) aircraft leasing business, International Lease Finance to a consortium of Chinese financial-services firms still need approval by U.S. regulators.
