08:13 EDTANF, ARO, AEOA&F a more attractive takeout target than Aeropostale, says FBR Capital
FBR Capital says Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF) is a more attractive takeover target than Aeropostale (ARO) and American Eagle (AEO) given its valuation, free cash flow, and potential for operating improvement. FBR states that while Aeropostale is garnering much interest, its current valuation, large capital requirement for significant improvements in profitability, and management backlash could make a buyout much more difficult than with Abercrombie. Further, FBR sees a potential leveraged buyout of American Eagle as prohibitive given its current valuation.
