Wal-Mart (WMT) is nearing the launch of a subscription fast-shipping service that will compete with Amazon Prime (AMZN), Amir Efrati of The Information reports, citing people involved with or briefed on the product. The service is an attempt to boost Wal-Mart's online business and should launch in the next few weeks after being pushed back for technical and other issues, Efrati adds. Boeing has ended work on the imaging spacecraft, its only small satellite order, due to the downturn in the natural resources market, the publication adds.

Northrop Grumman has been awarded a GBP 28.8M contract by the United Kingdom Home Office to provide service and systems operations and maintenance to the Forensic and Biometric Interim Capability, otherwise known as FABrIC. Under the two-year FABrIC contract, a recompete of IDENT1, Northrop Grumman will maintain and enhance the IDENT1 core software. IDENT1 provides identity management and crime scene forensic systems, which use fingerprints to provide the principal means of forensically verifying or resolving identities in the United Kingdom for law enforcement. It is a bespoke service that is a critical part of the national infrastructure for policing.
