Alaska Air group reports June traffic up 7.5% Alaska reported an 8.1% increase in traffic on an 8.6% increase in capacity compared to June 2012. This resulted in a 0.5 point decrease in load factor to 87.4%. Alaska also reported 87.4% of its flights arrived on time in June, compared to the 88.4% reported in June 2012. On a combined basis, Air Group reported a 7.5% increase in traffic on a 7.5% increase in capacity compared to June 2012.

JetBlue price target raised to $13.50 from $10 at JPMorgan JPMorgan raised its price target for JetBlue (JBLU) shares to $13.50 saying a CEO transition in early 2015 seems highly probable, which it feels could lead to a more returns-oriented business model. The firm reiterates an Overweight rating on the stock. JPMorgan also downgraded shares of Alaska Air (ALK) this morning to Neutral and upgraded shares of United Continental (UAL) to Overweight.
