Allegiant is now expecting 2013 total CAPEX to be $170M-$180M. The company has signed operating leases for nine A319 aircraft with GECAS and purchase agreements for nine A320 aircraft formerly operated by Iberia. Allegiant will remain active in the market for the purchase or lease of additional Airbus aircraft.

After Allegiant Travel reported stronger than expected results, Stifel nonetheless believes that issues the company is experiencing with pilot training will inhibit its growth prospects, increase its unit costs, and cause the stock to come under pressure today. However, the firm thinks the company's outlook, once it solves its training problem, remains attractive. The firm trimmed its price target on the shares to $130 from $135 but keeps a Buy rating on the stock.
