Piper Jaffray says the FDA warning letter sent to Akorn is specific only to generic pilocarpine and cited no manufacturing deficiencies. Piper finds it possible that Akorn removes the product from the market, but points out Akorn began shipping the product only a few months ago and had minimal sales thus far. Piper thinks the letter is no cause for alarm and continues to view Akorn shares as attractive. The firm keeps an Overweight rating on the stock with a $21 price target. | |
