17:01 EDTAIGU.S. Treasury announces public offering of AIG common stock
The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced that it has launched an underwritten public offering of its American International Group (AIG) common stock. The size and price to the public of the offering will be announced after pricing of the offering. AIG has indicated that it intends to purchase up to $2B of the common stock sold by Treasury in this offering at the initial public offering price. BofA Merrill Lynch, Citigroup Global Markets, Credit Suisse Securities, Deutsche Bank Securities, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan Securities and Morgan Stanley have been retained as joint bookrunners for the offering.

AIG’s Smart Build recommendations come from the company’s deep experience protecting some of the world’s largest luxury homes, as well as extensive analysis of AIG claims data and overall loss trends.
