13:42 EDTPMPhilip Morris technical comments before earnings
On a long-term chart the shares have been in a slow, stable, decline since hitting a peak of price in April 2013. That trend has moderated somewhat in recent months, leaving shares range-bound. That range seen in a long-term view is the bearish price channel since 2013. In a closer short-term view, there is quite a bit of volatility within the channel bounds. If the news is bearish, a key level to watch on the downside is the 52-week low at $75.27. A breakdown below that level would see the downtrend accelerate. If the news is a bullish surprise, a trade up to the top of the long-term channel at the $87 area would be the level to watch. An eventual breakout post-earnings above that area would turn the trend toward bullish with next resistance at $87.92.

The drug's effectiveness in chronic idiopathic constipation looks fairly similar to Ironwood's (IRWD) Linzess, Citi tells investors in a research note. It keeps a Buy rating on Synergy.

11:16 EDTCMCSAAnalyst says sell Orbitz as risks to Expedia deal mount
The shares of online travel agency Orbitz Worldwide (OWW) are falling after UBS downgraded the stock to Sell from Neutral, citing increased risk that regulators will block the company's proposed takeover by Expedia (EXPE). WHAT'S NEW: Based on recent press reports and his own conversations with players in the online travel sector, UBS analyst Eric Sheridan believes that antitrust concerns surrounding the proposed takeover of Orbitz are mounting. Specifically, travel suppliers are voicing more concern about the deal to regulators, Sheridan stated. Additionally, regulators have vetoed a number of proposed takeovers recently, including Time Warner Cable's (TWC) proposed acquisition by Comcast (CMCSA) and Electroloux's (ELUXY) proposed acquisition of GE's (GE) home appliances unit, Sheridan noted. As a result of these developments, the risk/reward ratio of Orbitz's stock is now "skewed negative," according to the analyst, who cut his price target on the stock to $10 from $12. PRICE ACTION: In morning trading, Orbitz fell 2.4% to $11.12. On February 12, Expedia announced it had agreed to acquire Orbitz for $12 per share in cash.

06:33 EDTGRPNBlue Calypso completes hearing in case against Groupon and Yelp
Blue Calypso (BCYP) announced that on July 8, it completed its Claim Construction Hearing, or "Markman hearing" for its patent infringement lawsuits against Groupon (GRPN), Foursquare, Yelp (YELP) and IZEA in the Eastern District Court of Texas. Judge Rodney Gilstrap presided. As is typical in Markman hearings, no ruling was issued from the bench. It is anticipated that the District Court's ruling will be announced in the next several weeks. The PTAB review which successfully concluded in December required a similar process of defining the terms of the patents. While the District Court has the ability to take reference from the PTABs construction, they are not required to adopt the PTAB's definition.

09:49 EDTMOH$1,000 per dose drugs found "cost effective," Bloomberg reports
Health insurers will face pressure to cover hepatitis C drugs with list prices of $1,000 per daily dose after a report from the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the Infectious Diseases Society of America suggests that such medications are "cost effective," Bloomberg reports. Publicly traded companies in the health insurance sector include Aetna (AET), Anthem (ANTM), Centene (CNC), Cigna (CI), Health Net (HNT), Humana (HUM), Molina Healthcare (MOH), UnitedHealth (UNH) and WellCare (WCG).
