International Game subsidiary GTECH Corporation has entered into a contract with the Minnesota State Lottery to provide new lottery technology, an IP-communications network, multimedia displays, self-service products, and ongoing support services, following a competitive procurement. The 7.5 year integrated services contract with the Lottery contains three renewal options of one year each, or up to one renewal of three years, or any variation thereof. The company expects to receive approximately $75M-$80M in revenues over the base 7.5 year contract period, which runs through August 9, 2023.

This alliance is expected to enable Boston Scientific and Frankenman to reach more clinicians and treat more patients by providing access to training on less invasive endoscopic technologies and the clinical and economic benefits these therapies can provide. CPEChina Fund, an entity of CITIC PE, is a current shareholder of Frankenman and will continue to support the company's growth in alignment with this strategic partnership.Under the terms of the agreement, Boston Scientific will become a shareholder of Frankenman, and provide services and expertise to Frankenman to support its continued growth, development pipeline and manufacturing capabilities. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2015, subject to customary closing conditions.

Several major retailer including Gap (GPS) and Target (TGT) are under investigation by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman over their staffing practices and whether they require workers to show up or stay home with little notice, The Wall Street Journal reports. Schneiderman sent letters warning Abercrombie & Fitch (ANF), JC Penney (JCP), Urban Outfitters (URBN), TJX Cos (TJX), Ann Inc (ANN), L Brands (LB), Burlington Stores (BURL), Sears Holdings (SHLD), Williams-Sonoma (WSM) and J Crew Group that he believes the chains are using on-call scheduling and that such practices may be in violation of New York laws.
