07:06 EDTBA, AERAerCap signs $200M pre-delivery payment fo Boeing 737-800s
AerCap Holdings (AER) announced that it has signed a $200M facility with DBS Bank of Singapore, to finance the pre-delivery payments for ten new Boeing (BA) 737-800 aircraft. This funding facility completes all of AerCap's pre-delivery payment requirements for its ten Boeing 737-800 aircraft order. This order was placed in 2010 with deliveries scheduled during 2015.

Boeing (BA) and GKN PLC (GKNLY), a key supplier, are grappling to produce a critical component for the updated version of its 737 jet, The Wall Street Journal reports. Boeing has plans to quickly boost production of the 737 Max, but difficulty consistently manufacturing part of the engine thrust reverser, industry executives and engineers are concerned that a shortage of the part could derail Boeing's ambitious plans, the report says.
