After AIG (AIG) sold a stake of up to 90% in its aircraft leasing unit, Wells Fargo believes that aircraft leasing franchises are appealing to financial institutions. The firm identifies AerCap as its favorite stock in the group as it has a lower P/E multiple and higher RoE than any of its peers, according to Wells. The firm maintains an Outperform rating on AerCap.

AerCap (AER) will lease up to 25 planes to United Continental (UAL), the airlines announced yesterday, according to Reuters.
