05:31 EDTACNAccenture awarded second contract by Tokyo Metropolitan Government
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government. or TMG, has awarded Accenture a second, one-year contract, through March 2015, to continue attracting foreign companies to locate their regional headquarters or research and development centers in Tokyo's Special Zone for Asian Headquarters. Accenture exceeded its original FY13 objective of recruiting 10 foreign firms, which represent a diverse range of industries, including environmental, medical, entertainment as well as information, communications and technology companies. The TMG has a goal of attracting 50 regional headquarters or R&D centers to the Special Zone by the end of 2016.

Accenture has acquired AD.Dialeto, an independent Brazilian digital agency, strengthening its digital marketing services provided through Accenture Interactive, part of Accenture Digital. As a result of the acquisition, Accenture will enhance its ability to serve clients in the growing Latin American market with digital marketing and commerce services that help maximize a return-on-investment of their digital programs. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Leidos (LDOS) was awarded a prime contract by the Department of Defense, or DoD, to provide an off-the-shelf electronic health record solution, integration activities and deployment across the Military Health System. The contract, known as the Defense Healthcare Management System Modernization, or DHMSM, program, is an initiative designed to modernize the military's healthcare system in a meaningful way, enabling patients and clinicians to capture and share health data that can improve the continuity and quality of care for 9.6M active military, their families, and their beneficiaries. As the prime contractor, Leidos established a team of proven innovators and industry leaders to form the Leidos Partnership for Defense Health. Cerner (CERN), Accenture Federal Services (ACN) and Henry Schein (HSIC) form the core team, complemented with a broad range of large and small business teammates, vendors and suppliers who bring proven experience and expertise specific to both the commercial and DoD healthcare markets.
