13:00 EDTCAMEnergy Departmant authorizes second proposed facility to export LNG
The Energy Department announced on Friday that it has conditionally authorized Freeport LNG Expansion, and FLNG Liquefaction, Freeport, to export domestically produced liquefied natural gas, LNG, to countries that do not have a Free Trade Agreement, FTA, with the United States from the Freeport LNG Terminal on Quintana Island, Texas. Freeport previously received approval to export LNG from this facility to FTA countries on February 10, 2011. Subject to environmental review and final regulatory approval, the facility is conditionally authorized to export at a rate of up to 1.4 billion cubic feet of natural gas a day, Bcf/d, for a period of 20 years. The Department granted the first authorization to export LNG to non-FTA countries in May 2011 for the Sabine Pass LNG Terminal in Cameron Parish, Louisiana at a rate of up to 2.2 Bcf/d. 05:15 EDTABBVGalapagos, AbbVie extend GLPG0634 collaboration
Galapagos and AbbVie announced an extension of their GLPG0634 clinical development collaboration to include Crohn's disease. Galapagos will fund and complete a Phase 2 program in Crohn's disease, which is designed to facilitate rapid progression into Phase 3. Upon successful completion of the study, expected in Q2 of 2015, AbbVie will pay Galapagos $50M. The terms of the collaboration extension are in addition to previously agreed upon financial terms. AbbVie will be responsible for funding and performing clinical development beyond Phase 2, and completing regulatory and commercialization activities. Galapagos will start an 20-week, Phase 2A/B study with GLPG0634 in 180 patients suffering from Crohn's disease by early 2014.
