News Breaks | | | | September 25, 2012 | | 07:44 EDT |  | AA | It's Alcoa vs. Novelis in the race to collect aluminum cans, WSJ reports Alcoa (AA) and Novelis, the Atlanta-based unit of India's Hindalco Industries, the world's biggest aluminum makers, are in fight for the 92.5B aluminum beverage cans made in America every year, reports the Wall Street Journal. The two had together been collecting and recycling cans since 2009, when they created a joint venture. Last year, they collected 40B cans.
