President Obama hosts a meeting with a group of executives to discuss acting on changes to surveillance policies proposed in a letter sent to him last week, after revelations that the National Security Agency (NSA) gained access to phone and Internet data networks to conduct spying. Companies attending the meeting include CEO Cook of Apple (AAPL), AT&T (T), Comcast (CMCSA), COO Sandberg of Facebook (FB), Chairman Schmidt of Google (GOOG), VP Rottenberg of LinkedIn (LNKD), Attorney Smith of Microsoft (MSFT), Netflix (NFLX), Salesforce.com (CRM), CEO Costolo Twitter (TWTR), CEO Mayer of Yahoo (YHOO) and Zynga (ZNGA) . The meeting is being held at The White House on December 17.
