Apple's (AAPL) U.S. smartphone market share rose to 53.3% in the 12 weeks ending November 25, while Android's (GOOG) U.S. market share showed a drop to 41.9%, according to data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech, reported CNET. However, in Europe over the same 12 week period, Samsung (SSNLF) continued to be the top smartphone maker with a 44.3% share across Europe's top five countries, with Apple holding 25.3% of that market, Kantar's data showed.
