The firm expects a repeat of last years events where Intel continued to build product in hopes of the Ivy Bridge refresh and was forced to cut loadings and inventories at year end. The firm adds that PCs are not a growth market and views risk as further price declines in the core business as considerable. Shares are Underperform rated with a $18 price target.
Apple legal loss could impact quarter by 1%, says Piper Jaffray Piper Jaffray estimates Apple's (AAPL) legal loss to Samsung (SSNLF) that could stop the sale of iPhone 4 on AT&T (T) could negatively impact Apple's revenue by as much as 1% for the June and September quarters. However, Piper does not believe the ruling will lead to future product injunctions and maintains an Overweight on shares of Apple.
