09:08 EDTAMZNFedEx says properly identified delivery people an 'important issue'
FedEx (FDX) executives, responding to a question about "a prominent user of parcel services," likely referring to Amazon.com (AMZN), reportedly exploring its own solutions for delivery, said that "what a lot of people lose in this conversation" is that setting up a transportation network is extremely capital intensive, requires very sophisticated information technology and takes a very long time to build out to scale. FedEx also said that "research has indicated time and time again that a uniformed person with proper identification showing up at your doorstep is an important issue for customers" and that the consistency of customer experience is very critical. FedEx noted that it will continue to monitor these situations, but that it feels "pretty comfortable in terms of our strategy going forward and our ability to serve the e-commerce market and our customers."
08:10 EDTBACFed told BofA it is too reactive to problems raised by regulators, WSJ says
The Federal Reserve told Bank of America earlier this year that it does not think its management is forward-looking enough and is rather too reactive to problems after they are raised by regulators during “stress tests,” the Wall Street Journal reports, citing people familiar with the matter. As a result, in March, the Fed only granted the bank conditional approval to return capital to shareholders, meaning the bank is required to submit a revised stress test plan by September 30, the report says. In response, Bank of America has hired “several” outside consultants to look over the way it runs the tests, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing others close to the situation. Reference Link

KeyBanc said a sum-of-the-parts analysis suggests Baidu's valuation is attractive and is a more appropriate way to look at the stock given optionality around video and online travel following heavy investments. The firm expects steady core margins in 2015 and remains a buyer of shares. KeyBanc rates Baidu an Overweight with a $255 price target.

05:45 EDTFBBrean ups Facebook target to $108, says own for long haul
Brean Capital analyst Sarah Hindlian raised her price target for Facebook to $108 from $100 while telling investors to own the stock for the long haul. After analyzing the potential of the social networking giant's mobile applications, including Instagram, WhatsApp and Messenger, Hindlian's "bear case" analyses demonstrate that Facebook may have an incremental $4.0B in revenue in FY16 from monetization efforts. Only 25%-35% of this potential revenue is included in consensus estimates, the analyst states this morning in a research note. She reiterates a Buy rating on Facebook. The stock closed yesterday up 35c to $81.06.
