AMR Corporation reported December 2012 consolidated revenue and traffic results for its principal subsidiary, American Airlines and its wholly owned subsidiary, AMR Eagle Holding Corp. Consolidated capacity and traffic were 2.0% and 2.1% higher year-over-year, respectively, resulting in a consolidated load factor of 80.2%, an increase of 0.1% vs. same period last year. Domestic capacity and traffic were 1.6% and 2.4% higher year-over-year, respectively, resulting in a domestic load factor of 81.6%, 0.6% higher vs. same period last year. International load factor of 79.3% was 1.2% lower year-over-year, as traffic increased 2.1% on 3.7% more capacity. The Atlantic entity recorded the highest load factor of 83.3%, an increase of 2.0% vs. December 2011. December's consolidated PRASM increased an estimated 1.6% vs. same period last year. On a consolidated basis, the company boarded 8.9M passengers in December. | |
