American Airlines reported December 2013 traffic results for both American Airlines and US Airways. American's consolidated passenger revenue per available seat mile or PRASM for December increased approximately 9% vs. the same period last year. American's consolidated revenue passenger miles or RPMs were 11.9B, up 5.0% year-over-year. Consolidated capacity was 14.2B available seat miles or ASMs, up 1.1% year-over-year. Consolidated passenger load factor was 83.3% for December, up 3.1% year-over-year. US Airways reported December PRASM up 12% and RPMs up 7.0% year-over-year. December consolidated capacity was 7.4B ASMs, up 3.6% year-over-year, and consolidated passenger load factor was 84.7%, up 2.7% year-over-year.
